What is the difference between kess V5.017 and ktag V7.020:

 

1. Different connection methods:

 

For most vehicles, the KESS V5.017 reads and writes directly to the ECU via an OBD2 cable for easy operation!

 

KTAG V7.020 reads and writes ECU via TRICORE or BDM or other modes using special cables, but the software will guide you how to do it!

2. different vehicle coverage:

 

KESS V5.017 cannot be applied to Toyo.... Denso 76F00XX ECU protocol, but KTAG V7.020 can be applied to Toyo. Denso 76F00XX is fine!

 

KESS V5.017 can support some trucks/tractors/motorcycles, but KTAG V7.020 can support more trucks/tractors/motorcycles and is better suited for diesel vehicles than KESS V5.017!
